Cooke Centenary

Cooke Centenary Church has been a presence on the Ormeau Road since 1890.

It has seen a lot of changes down the years, but through them all has sought to be a community of faith bearing witness to the love of God.

We are keen to be open to the wider community and to play our full part in the life of that community, consequently all of our Organinsations are open to everyone, whether members of the congregation or not.

We have a full range of weekly activities including Boys Brigade (Anchor Boys, Junior & Company Sections), Rainbow Guides, Brownie Guides, Guides, Junior & Senior Badminton, Youth Fellowship, Presbyterian Women's Association, Fellowship groups and Indoor Bowls.

Sunday morning worship reflects the mix of the congregation - both traditional and contemporary. Children move to Sunday School & Bible Class following a "Children's address" the start of the morning service, and a crèche is available for younger children. Evening worship is held in the Church reception area and is more informal in approach.

In these changing times, we in Cooke look forward to continuing to play our part in making this area a good place to live for folk of every cultural background, religious tradition and ethnic origin.
