Conlig

Conlig village is situated halfway between Bangor and Newtownards, and grew up in the middle of the nineteenth century around the lead mines. The mines were soon abandoned and nowadays the village is being 'consumed' by urban development from Bangor.

The Presbyterian Church was built in 1848, and remains the only place of worship in the village. The congregation has 200 contributing families, and offers the usual range of weekday and Sunday activities.
