Congregations of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland |
|
Carnone,
Sunday Service:
Minister: Rev Colin McKibbin
Clerk of Session: Alexander Buchanan |
CarnoneCarnone congregation is situated in a stable farming community about 4 miles away from Donoughmore. The congregation consists of about 60 families with a relatively large number of children and young people. There are currently about 30 children attending Sunday School and there is a weekly youth club in the hall and badminton for Seniors. Church attendance and involvement is relatively good and the leadership is active and well organised. There is a joint PW with Convoy and these 2 congregations have worked closely together over the last few years sharing joint summer services and other activities. Morning worship throughout the year is at 9 45am. Donoughmore, Carnone and Convoy are a recently formed 3-point charge in the Donegal Presbytery. Both Carnone and Donoughmore are rural based churches and Convoy is situated in the old mill town of Convoy itself. The 3 congregations are all within 10 minutes drive of each other and have had close links down through the years. The congregation plays an active role in their community and have very good community relations with other local churches and groups |
