Cahir

Cahir is a small but growing tourist town in South Tipperary. Central to the town is its medieval castle, a seat of the Butler family since 1371. The town is situated on the Suir River, 10 miles from Clonmel, and is surrounded by the Comeragh, Knockmealdown and Galtee mountains.

The Presbyterian Church has been in existence since 1881, taking over the existing Quaker meeting house. The building has historic interest and is well preserved.

The congregation though small is in good heart. We believe that a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ is central to our faith and we seek to grow in faith and share our faith with others.

Anyone is welcome to attend our meetings, you do not have to be a Presbyterian or become a Presbyterian! On a Sunday morning we meet to pray, sing and read the bible, looking to apply it relevantly to our lives.

Other activities include Bible studies in the local hotel, a ladies bible study, children bible club and a prayer meeting.
