Bushvale

Bushvale takes its name from its location in the valley of the river Bush and was originally formed as 'Second Kilraughts' in 1793. Since then there have been 10 ministers. The church is situated in a rural farming community and has approximately 200 families. This figure has remained resonably stationary for many years.

Sixteen men and women make up the Kirk Session and ther eis an active Sunday School, PWA, Youth Fellowship (jointly with our neighbours in Roseyards), 'King's Club' for children P3-P7, Children's Church, Junior Church, Bowling and Badminton clubs as well as a Senior Citizens' Group.

Bushvale seeks to serve Christ in our community and is a freindly, welcoming congregation. Our worship includes traditional and modern styles and we attempt to make public worship challenging and relevant to all ages. We take a great interest in overseas mission and are delighted that over the years threee missionaries have gone from our midst to serve the Lord in India, Malawi and Nepal.
