Kilcooley is a former church extension church; and is a small local congregation serving the are between the main route into Bangor, the Rathgael Road and the Bangor Ring Road.

Members of the congregation come from many different spiritual backgrounds and worship is in a very informal style.

Winter activities in the church include Boys' Brigade, Girls' Brigade, youth club (both senior and junior), Presbyterian Women's Association, Midweek meeting, and Sunday School. Childrens' Church runs all year round, and Buddies Playgroup use the premises.

Access to the church is gained by entering the estate from the Rathgael Road; and the church is situated on the main route through Kilcooley estate.
