Hamilton Road, Bangor

Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church was formed in 1897 with the present building being opened in 1899. The congregation has experienced steady growth over the years and is made up of around 1000 families making it one of the largest within the Presbyterian Church.

Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church draws its membership from all over Bangor and embraces a wide cross-section of people. Unlike many smaller congregations where there is only one full-time minister or pastor, Hamilton Road has a staff team which includes a minister, associate minister, pastoral associate, youth pastor and Director of Music. Sometimes in a large church it is easy to get lost in the crowd. Our web site at www.HRPC.org.uk is intended to help you get an overview of Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church (HRPC for short!!) and to help you become part of our church family.

In Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church we are committed to teaching the Bible in a clear and relevant way and to reaching out to others with the good news about Jesus. Our purpose is to see unbelieving people become faithful followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. If you would like to be part of the church family here we'd love to meet and talk with you about it.

On Sundays
There are two gatherings of the church family each Sunday. On Sunday mornings we meet at 11.00am. People of all ages come to this service. A creche is available for babies and children under three. Older children begin in church and then go out for their own supervised activity time. On Sunday evenings we meet at 7.00pm. While our emphasis in both services is on consistent Bible teaching we aim to make our evening service more informal with more variations than are normally possible at the morning service. After the evening service refreshments are served in the church building and members are encouraged to stay and chat.
