Ballyweaney

Ballyweaney church is located in a picturesque area overlooking the Antrim Hills, approximately 2 miles north of Cloughmills village.

The congregation was founded in 1835 and the church building was opened in 1842.

The church building was recently extended and renovated. It was re-opened and dedicated by the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. K.N.E. Newell at a special service on 7th August 2004.

Ballyweaney is a rural congregation consisting of approximately 185 families. There is a wide range of weekly activities including a fellowship meeting for prayer and Bible study, a PWA branch and a bowling club. The young people are well catered for by a Sunday School, a Girls' Brigade company and a youth club.

The weekly services of worship are held each Sunday at 12 noon, with a monthly evening service on the last Sunday of each month at 7.30pm from October to June.

Children's church meets during morning services and crëche facilities are available.

Visitors will be made welcome at all services.
