Congregational Mission Statement: "This congregation exists as a loving Christian fellowship to make disciples for Christ, through worship, mission and service"

Ballyhenry Presbyterian Church, the 'big white church' on the Ballyhenry Road, has its roots in Cliftonville Presbyterian Church (built in 1885) which in turn began its existence in 1708 as Second Presbyterian in Rosemary Lane, (before moving to Donegall Street in 1791).

Today's congregation of about 230 families worships in premises officially opened in 1976.

There are a wide range of activities including: Mother and Toddler Group, Wedensday Afternoon Fellowship, Ladies Fellowship, PWA, Youth Fellowship, Friday Night Youth Club, Junior and Intermediate Christian Endeavour, Jacob's Well and Guides (Rainbow Guides, Brownies, and Girl Guides).

There is a mid week opportunity for Bible Study and Prayer (as well as a number of 'Small Group' Bible Studies on other evenings.

On Sundays, as well as two services of worship, there is a Prayer Meeting, 'Primetime' (during Sunday morning worship), and a creche facility (mornings only).

Ballyhenry are strong supporters of a variety of missionary outreaches through its Mission Fund. One member serves locally with Evangelical Ministeries, a member is studying in preparation for Presbyterian Church in Ireland ministry, while two former members are now Presbyterian Church in Ireland ministers.

The work at Ballyhenry currently benefits greatly from the post of 'Development/Outreach Worker'. We continue to seek to maximise opportunities to build bridges to people living in the surrounding community and to act as salt and light in a very, needy world. 'Holiday Bible Clubs', quarterly Seeker Services and a number of events based around a fellowship meal within our church sanctuary, are but some of our recent special outreaches. Our Wayside Pulpit and church magazine 'Ballyhenry Vision' are two further means by which we reach outsiders and encourage our own congregation.
