Ballygowan

Ballygowan is situated some 10 miles outside Belfast. It is bounded by Comber on one side and Saintfield on the other.

The church was built in 1837 and at present has some 700 families, with a balanced mixture of commuters and families.

In catering for the local community there is a wide and varied church programme. This includes Sunday School, Bible Class and Youth Fellowship; Bowls club; midweek fellowship; senior badminton; junior youth club; Girls' Brigade; Boys' Brigade; Mother and Toddler Group; Prayer circle; Choir and Presbyterian Women's Association.

The large suite of church halls are unique in this part of County Down, the older building having served as an orphanage in earlier days.
