BallycarryFounded in 1613, Ballycarry is the oldest congregation in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland and is situated in what was known as Templecoran Parish 6 miles North of Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim. It remains an area deeply rooted in its Scottish heritage and is said to be the most densely populated area where descendants of the Scottish Plantation still reside. Ballycarry is a developing village striving to hold to the qualities of care and concern for your neighbour found in small communities. The congregation has 285 families. Its activities aim to meet the needs of each generation and at the same time bring all ages together as the family of God. Activities include: Worship, Fellowship groups, Prayer Breakfasts, Prayer at noon prior to Thursday Lunch Club, Bible Class, Sunday School, Children's Church, Crèche, Presbyterian Women's Association, Young Woman's Group, Indoor Bowls, Badminton, Parents and Toddlers, Young Adults, Teen Time (Hillhead Hut) Coffee Bar for 12+ and Max Gang for 8-12 year olds, Cabin Boys 4-8 year olds, Max football 8-12 year olds, Prayer, support and exchange visits with CCAP Malawi, Educational and medical boxes for Malawi.
