Old Antrim Road,
Sunday Service:
Minister: Rev. Joseph Andrews |
BalleeSituated on the Southern edge of Ballymena, on the Old Antrim Road, close to the 'Ballee Roundabout'. On an easily-accessible site with good car parking facilities, Ballee is the eighth and newest Presbyterian congregation in the town. Established in 1976 as a Church Extension Charge, Ballee gained full congregational status ten years later and is now made up of approximately 200 families. We are 'a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland whose work, worship and witness, regulated by Scripture seeks to evangelise the lost and edify the people of God.' We meet for worship every Sunday at 11.30am and 6.30pm. A creche operates during the morning service. Children are welcome at our Sunday School which meets at 10.15am and teenagers return enthusiastically each year to our very popular and successful 'Covenantors' group. During the week a variety of activity takes place within our premises for all age groups: Boys' and Girls' Brigades, Youth Club and Youth Fellowship, Bowling Club, Presbyterian Women's Association and Wednesday Afternoon Fellowship. A meeting for prayer and Bible study is held every Thursday evening at 7.45pm. Our catering group provides hospitality for many church and community groups which visit Ballymena. For details of these activities please contact the Rev. Joseph Andrews. Whether you are a resident in Ballymena or a visitor to our town, you will be welcome to share with us as we seek to live in obedience to Jesus and share with others the Good News of His Gospel.
