High Street Presbyterian Church, Sunday Service:
Minister: Rev Ian T. McKee |
High Street AntrimSharing the Good News! The congregation of High Street was formed in 1852 and relocated to our present site at the Steeple in 1974. There are 22 elders and 415 families presently associated with our fellowship. Our desire is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the whole community and an invitation is extended to all to join us in worship every Sunday. Our worship centre is modern, bright and comfortable. The hall accommodation serves our present needs well but is kept under review in the light of developing ministries. We try to ensure that our welcome is warm, our worship is inclusive, and that the teaching given is challenging, using the latest technology to help to facilitate praise and teaching. Crëche is available throughout the year during morning worship for up to pre-school age children. A wide range of activities are available throughout the week - geared to all ages. We have a Bible Study and Prayer Meeting which meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, together with Fellowship Groups which meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays. At the weekends, young people are catered for in our Youth Fellowship which meets on Sunday evenings and our well attended Youth Club for P7 upwards on Saturday evenings. During the week, we have Rainbows, Brownies and Guides who meet on Wednesdays, and Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who meet on Thursdays and Fridays. Mums & Tots meet on Tuesday mornings. Morning Extra for senior citizens meets on 2nd Wednesday of each month in the morning and our Women's Group meets on the 2nd Monday each month. Our mixed Indoor Bowling Club meets every Tuesday evening and our choir meets on Wednesday evenings. |
