Abbots Cross

Abbots Cross congregation is located at the heart of Newtownabbey, in a densely populated parish including several of the large housing areas built over the last fifty years, as well as some more recently established developments. The congregation is relatively new, beginning as a Church Extension in the 50's and has a well established membership, some of whom of whom remember those days. We have also welcomed some new families of late, who have married and moved into the area.

Our services combine the traditional and contemporary in a blend of the old and the new, attempts to include both senior and younger members in worship and ministry. Around 200-250 meet in the morning, with creche facilities and children's church. The weekly programme includes recreation for senior men on Wednesday at 10.00am. Youth organisations and ladies groups. Small home fellowship groups are being established and Thursday at 8.00pm. is our midweek worship, study and prayer.
