York House Residential Home was established under the auspices of the Presbyterian Residential Trust which was founded in 1949. The aim of the Trust is to offer care and support to elderly people within a Christian environment.

York House is situated in the seaside resort of Portrush with picturesque views of the North Antrim coast, taking in the Skerries and Portrush East Strand.

The Home provides a warm friendly environment allowing the opportunity for company and privacy. The Matron and staff place great emphasis on meeting residents' physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs. York House provides a quality service for residents. The importance of privacy is highlighted in that there are 32 single bedrooms and one other room which can be used as a double bedroom. The Home can accommodate 34 residents. There are 2 sitting rooms, a treatment room, spacious dining room, lift and, very importantly, 24 hours on-call facility.

Residents are encouraged to bring small personal items with them in order to make their room in York House truly their own.

The Home is Christian in ethos and residents are encouraged and helped to exercise their Christian faith. A conscious effort is made to ensure residents receive spiritual support when requested.

Regular worship services and fellowship times are held within the Home and arrangements can be made for those wishing to attend local churches.

York House welcomes residents from all denominations.
