Presbyterian Residential TrustEstablished in 1947, the Presbyterian Residential Trust is an agency/initiative(?) of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland and provides care for elderly people particularly ensuring spiritual support and encouragement. The Trust runs six residential homes, one nursing home and two sheltered housing projects, offering high quality care to 250 residents. The aim is to help elderly people maintain as much independence as possible by providing a caring environment within a Christian ethos. Another scheme, known as The Old Age Fund, Women's Fund and Indigent Ladies' Fund is able to make financial assistance available to elderly ladies who are in need of this form of assistance. One common factor in all our Homes is that the Presbyterian Residential Trust prides itself on providing a homely Christian environment. Indeed for 56 years now the Church has been providing residential, sheltered and nursing home accommodation for the older person. Linda Wray, Residential Services Manager says, "As we care for our residents we make every effort to accomplish it in a loving and compassionate way, showing kindness and consideration to every person we look after. Naturally quality care is essential but what residents and their families appreciate is that the care is given in a Christian environment. We aim to meet the highest quality standards within the bounds of the Registration and Inspection Unit." Download information and guidance on selecting a Residential or Nursing Home
