Adelaide House
24 Adelaide Park, Belfast, BT9 6FX Adelaide House was the first Residential Home to be established by the Presbyterian Residential Trust in the late 1940s. Since then, the Home has been extensively extended and renovated. The Home stands on its own mature site in what is undoubtedly the finest residential area of South Belfast. The aim of the Trust is to provide residential accommodation which offers care and support to elderly people within a Christian environment. The Home strives to provide a warm, friendly environment, allowing residents to be treated with dignity and respect, and encouraging them to retain their independence. Staff place great emphasis on meeting residents' physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs by ongoing assessment and review. First class accommodation is offered in spacious well-appointed sitting rooms and tastefully furnished bedrooms. Adelaide House can accommodate 45 residents providing permanent and respite care. The importance of privacy is indicated by the provision of 43 single bedrooms and one room which can accommodate two people. The Home seeks to provide care in a specifically Christian ethos and environment. Regular worship services and fellowship times are held within the Home and a conscious effort is made to ensure residents are offered spiritual support and encouragement when requested. Adelaide House welcomes residents from denominations. Some of the services and amenities Adelaide House can offer:
