The Board of Christian Training 
Convener: Rev. George Moore
The Board of Christian Training is made up of members nominated at Presbytery level, and is concerned with the recruitment and preparation of candidates for the ministry, and also for maintaining academic standards and links with academic institutes. It also facilitates the continuing training of ministers once they are ordained, as well as dealing with the training of men and women in the wider work of the Church through the courses and resources available at the Magee Institute for Christian Training.
College and Magee Management Committee

Union College celebrated its 150th birthday recently and has just completed a major refurbishment programme. It has also seen the work of the Director of Ministerial Studies and the Director of Christian Training integrated into its structures as two new departments.
Committee on Ministerial Studies
Convener: Rev. Stephen Moore
This Committee ensures on behalf of the Board that the requirements of the General Assembly are fulfilled in regard to the Church's procedures of assessment and interview and in regard to the academic studies, ministerial training and personal formation of all ministerial students in all locations.
The functions of this Committee include -
- approving annually the number and personnel of the interviewing panel
- overseeing the courses of study and training undertaken by ministerial students at UTC and other recognised Colleges
- assessing the academic qualifications of ministers of other churches wishing to be received into the ordained ministry of PCI.
Committee on Resourcing Christians for Ministry

Committee for the Reception of Ministers and Licentiates
Convener: Rev Brian Savage
The function of the committee is to advise the General Assembly on applications made to it by ministers of other branches of the Christian Church who wish to enter the ordained ministry of the PCI. In preparation of this advice it receives written applications and supporting documentation and interviews applicants. The convener is also available to advise ministers considering service in Ireland.

Students' Bursary Fund Committee
Convener: Rev. Stewart Mackay
The Committee oversees the allocation of the funds of The Students' Bursary Fund. This fund exists to give financial support to those who are studying for Ministry in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. Its funding comes from three main sources; individual and congregational donations; offerings from services of Licensing of Students, and Ordination and Installation of Ministers and Elders; and the United Appeal Fund.
