Board of Mission Overseas

Convener: Rev. John Hanna
Secretary: Rev. Uel Marrs

Email: overseas@presbyterianireland.org

The Board of Mission Overseas (BMO) administers the overseas mission work of the Church. Since mission has always been regarded as an integral part of the Church's life, the Board draws together representatives from the Presbyteries, Education, Youth, Inter-Church Relations and the PWA in order to inform and involve as many people as possible in this important work.

The Board arranges for the selection, training and call of all missionaries and allocates them to their sphere of work. It prepares estimates to the United Appeal Board and administers all funds in the interests of the overseas work. It is also responsible for distributing information and organising conferences in order to inform the home Church about their support of the work.

There are four committees appointed by the Assembly to work with the BMO. They are:

Mission Involvement Committee Convener: Rev Peter Lyle

Leadership Development Committee Convener: Rev Prof Gordon Campbell

Outreach Ministries Committee Convener: Rev Stephen Richmond

World Development Committee Convener: Rev Dr Mark Gray
