Adelaide House

Social Witness

Belfast

Adelaide House was the first Residential Home to be established by the Presbyterian Residential Trust in the late 1940s. Since then, the Home has been extensively extended and renovated. Situated on a mature site in south Belfast, Adelaide House aims to provide residential accommodation offering care and support to older people within a Christian environment.

The Home strives to provide a warm, friendly environment, allowing residents to be treated with dignity and respect, and encouraging them to retain their independence. Staff place great emphasis on meeting residents' physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs by ongoing assessment and review.

Adelaide House can accommodate 44 residents providing permanent and respite care. The Home seeks to provide care in a specifically Christian ethos and environment. Regular worship services are held within the Home and a conscious effort is made to ensure residents are offered spiritual support and encouragement when requested. Adelaide House welcomes residents from all denominations.
