'Disciple Makers Network' is a six-month journey consisting of four training gatherings that aims to put discipleship principles and practices at the heart of what you do. The gatherings are learning environments packed full of bible teaching, specific training and practical example, as well as time to process as congregational teams. Through the process you will be envisioned about the need for disciple-making intentionality, equipped with practical tools and specific models, and enabled to put it into practice in your congregation through guided activities, reading and discussion.
Who is it for?
'Disciple Makers Network' is ideal for teams of leaders from across the life and witness of a congregation. Ministers, current elders, key organisational leaders and emerging leaders would all benefit from both the training input and the shared learning environment. The Network will be facilitated by PCI’s Discipleship Development Officer with input from a variety of local practitioners at each gathering.
Have a read at some testimonials from previous participants:
“Disciple Makers Network really helped give focus, provide ideas and generate discussion about how we make disciples who make disciples. During a recent session meeting I was struck by how a number of elders raised ideas about things they had learned at the network. It was great to see things being learned working their way into shaping how we do church.”
Stephen Richmond, Donegal PC
“A great balance between varying styles of teaching input and time to reflect individually or with others, meant we could cover an awful lot without ever feeling overwhelmed. Highly recommend that anyone feeling exhausted or swamped by activity replace some of the busyness with attendance of the first DMN gathering. You’re likely to leave energised and hooked for the series.”
Jill Kennedy, Trinity Bangor
“If you’re interested in doing the work that Jesus calls us to then you'll find that the Disciple Makers Network will inspire you for that work and equip you to do it better.”
Christoph Ebbinghaus, Kirkpatrick Memorial
"Our group found this course a good mechanism for thinking about discipleship within our church context. It offered us the opportunity to reflect on what we are doing and what we could do more effectively to help make disciples of Jesus Christ."
Jonathan Cowan, Mountjoy PC
