Baptism of Children in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland

9.3.2016 | Worship and Sacraments,

People have different ideas about baptism. Some think of it as a naming ceremony. Others think that a child will not thrive until it is baptised. And many people think that it is the proper thing to do for every child. Some call it a “christening” and believe that it automatically makes a child a Christian.

This leaflet sets out the views of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

Free copies of this leaflets are available to collect from Assembly Buildings. This download is provided as a preview. The text from the download can be transferred to a congregational announcement sheet.
