Caring for ministers' families

9.3.2016 | Guidelines, Pastoral Care,

The Pastoral Care Panel exists as part of the General Council. It is a group of people, from within the Presbyterian Church in Ireland, with a responsibility for caring for ministers and their families.

They are specifically tasked to support ministers, their spouses and/or manse families at a time of special need, stress or crisis (spiritual or otherwise)

They are not a counselling service but offer a sympathetic ear and support with complete confidentiality, referral to specialist help where appropriate, a safe place to meet and a person with whom to pray.
